Motivation

What is it that gets you out of bed in the morning and excited about life?

Interestingly, research has shown that once basic human needs are met we are driven by motivations which are not monetary.  These are:

  1. Autonomy – the desire to direct your own life
  2. Mastery – the desire to learn and create
  3. Purpose – the desire to have meaning in this world

When people don’t know what it is they should really be doing with their life, maybe these three points should be taken into consideration.
