You can’t do it that way.
You can’t go straight to customers.
You can’t sell at that price point.
You can’t employ that person for this role.
You can’t build software in this way.
The list of reasons you can’t do something is endless. People have said the above objections (and a thousand others) to me. And they were all wrong.
The thing is that behind every incorrect assumption lies opportunity that you can take advantage of. People are wrong more often than they would like to admit.
So dare to disagree.
Every time you disagree with the status quo you will explore territory no one else has. And every time you are right and the consensus is wrong, you will benefit enormously.
